  Great and friendly pub, perfect for the end of a long walk on the moor. Didn't eat but menu looked excellent and plenty of people were, so food is clearly good. Nice mix of pub classics and slightly more modern fare as well. Good number of ale taps on, though nothing too risky in terms of selection. Most were mass market local favorites like Tribute, Doombar and Proper Job, but good to see two Dartmoor Brewery taps on as well. With the actual brewery five minutes walk away you can't get much more local! Still, would love to have seen something I'd not seen before on offer; a proper guest ale! May have just been unlucky though and with a vibrant atmosphere and great service I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

  Fantastic meal - had a mixed grill and wasn't disappointed. Stilton sauce was next level. Would eat there again, lovely pub.

  Good food served all day. Carvery is good too. A good option after building up an appetite from walking round Dartmoor.
